Heading Mission Body The mission of the Undergraduate and Master's programs of CSD is in preparation of professionals qualifies to provide independent professional diagnostic and therapy services to individuals with a wide range of communication and swallowing needs in a variety of settings. Picture 3 is of 4 of our clinician with one of our supervisors holding up audiometers while doing hearing screenings.About the Programs The bachelor of science program prepares students fot the graduate study in speech language pathology and the related disciplines such as neuroscience, cognitive science, special education, and linguistics. The Master of Science (MS) education program in speech language pathology at the University of Central Arkansas is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology of the American Speech Language Hearing Association, 2200 Research Boulevard, #310, Rockville, MD 20850, 1-800-498-2071 or 301-296-5700. Preparation of Students to Practice at the Top of their License. Faculty teaching courses in their area of specialization. Program completion (4-year average)=99% Praxis pass rate (4-year average)=99% High job placement rate, because employers know our graduates are ready for professional practice. State of the Art Facilities Access to advanced technology and resources, including speech hearing laboratories, to enhance learning and research. Opportunities for out students to participate in clinical simulations in our Nabholz Center for Healthcare Sumulation. Clinical Experience-Opportunities for students to engage in supervised clinical practice in diverse settings, including schools, hospitals, and private practices. Opportunities for students to participate in our Clinical Special Programs in areas such as fluency, literacy, voice, autism screening, and cognition. Interprofessional Approach-Collaboration with other health education disciplines to provide a comprehensive understanding of communication and swallowing disorders. Community Engagement-Clinical experience within our Community Care Clinic. Programs and initiatives that promote awareness and support for individuals with communication and swallowing disorders within the community. Involvement in out Gold Chapter Status National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA).
