AI-Enhanced Exports & AI Tokens

We're launching two connected features: AI image enhancement and AI tokens (for granular pricing)

Enhance with AI

Transform any export (3D interiors, 2D/3D floorplans) by adding your own touch. Change styles, add/remove objects, modify materials and backgrounds, or incorporate your own images—logos, actual window views, even photos of yourself or your pet.

How to use this new feature:

Go to Exports tab → select any export
Click "Enhance with AI" in the left sidebar
Write your enhancement prompt or choose from defaults
Upload additional images if needed
Click on the "Enhance image" button (20 AI Tokens needed)

Note: The results might vary and always carefully check the resulting images for accuracy before sharing them with other.

AI Tokens: A New Micro Currency

Since AI processing has real costs, we created a new micro currency:AI tokens for affordable per-use pricing instead of charging full credits.

Cost: 20 AI tokens per image (5 images = 1 credit)
Get tokens: Convert 1 credit → 100 AI tokens via dashboard

Important: AI tokens don't expire but can't be converted back to credits

All paid accounts (PLUS, PRO, and higher) have some starter AI tokens to test the feature before converting additional credits. Sub-users of Teams accounts and higher do not have access to this feature yet. This will soon be added, for now only the main users of an account can use this feature.

Smarter Groups

We’ve made some improvements how groups behave. Drop one on the canvas and it stays intact. Move, rotate, or copy the whole set until you ungroup it. The link stays in place, so hit Regroup to connect everything again.

Custom Materials for Floors & Surfaces

There is now the option to upload your own floor textures or images to be placed on the floors of rooms and surfaces. These custom materials can be scaled, moved and rotated like all other materials to fit your room

SVG Export (vector images)

We've added the option to export 2D Vector images through the SVG format. This feature is enabled for all HD projects and higher.

Edit Doors & Windows in 3D

Doors & Windows are now editable in 3D mode. You can change colors, dimensions and for doors you can set the how open or close you want it to be shown in 3D.

Auto color for labels

Big December Update for Basic Accounts

We are adding some great new features to our Basic (Free) accounts and are making some changes to the pricing structure of our platform to ensure we can keep a great free product for all our users.

We are extending our favorite & group features to ALL our users. With a Basic (free) account you can now save up to 20 favourites and up to 5 custom groups that you can easily reuse in your projects. If you upgrade to any paid plan you can now even store as much favorites & groups as you want.

Besides these free new features, we are also putting a limitation in place. From now on, every account is limited to 5 Free projects (SD-Lite). You can create as many projects as you want, but every new project after the first 5 needs to be paid for with credits.These Free projects, however, have more functionality than our previous Free projects, as you can create up to 3 floors within the same project now. In case you have more projects in your account, no worries; they will still be fully accessible.

We feel 5 projects with 3 floors should be enough for pretty much every casual user, and if you are using Floorplanner professionally, we think you'll be better served via one of our reasonably priced paid plans anyway.

To make it more attractive to upgrade to one of our paid plans, we have a number of deals that will only be available during the coming month. You can find these within your account.

Groups!

You can now create Groups with every Floorplanner account. A group is a collection of objects that you can store and re-use within any of your projects. For instance a fully filled bookcase or a set of 4 desks with monitors & chairs.

Groups can be created within the editor by selecting multiple objects (via shift-select or manually clicking one-by-one) and click on the "Create Group" button. A new tab with "groups" will appear in you Object library where you can find all your saved groups and you can simply drag them in your plan. Basic users can store up to 5 groups within a Free account and with a paid account (PLUS and higher) you can save as much groups as you need!

Background Scenes!

We’ve added over 100 new background scenes, featuring everything from bustling big-city views to peaceful vacation landscapes. These scenes can be easily rotated using the (sun) dial, allowing you to find the perfect angle and lighting to suit your images.

New windows & different colors for frames

We've expanded our library with around 80 new window types. Additionally, we've introduced the ability to customize some windows with different colors for the inner and outer frames, offering greater flexibility.

Basic colors for Generic Items

Generic items now have the option to be customized with 16 basic colors, perfect for creating schematic floorplans like seating arrangements. You can find these items under the "Generic (White) Items" category.

Isometric 3D

The 3D Dollhouse view now includes an additional checkbox that allows you to toggle perspective on or off. By turning off the perspective, the view transforms into a full isometric display, providing a more precise, distortion-free representation of the space.

This is particularly useful if you prefer technical or architectural accuracy, as it eliminates the converging lines seen in standard perspective views and offers a consistent scale across the entire model. Besides that, it just looks great!

2D or 3D Project thumbnails

We've added a toggle on the projects page that allows users with 3D thumbnails to choose whether they want to view 2D or 3D thumbnails by default.

Show/hide furniture in 3D

Vietnamese & Norwegian Languages added

Restore deleted floors

There is a new floor settings sidebar that appears when you click on the three points behind the floorname in the Floor dropdown. This sidebar gives you the option to quickly make changes to the order of how the floors appear in your project. Next to that we also added the option simply restore a deleted floor.

Object Library Improvements

A bunch of further optimisations of our product sidebar. The most visible change is that the sidebar now starts up in single sidebar mode so you have more room for your drawing area.

This is possible because we replaced the previous categories "list view" to a more efficient set of drop-downs. You can simply get back to the previous double sidebar mode by clicking on More>. This will also shows you the filters and includes a handy way to see which filters you applied and a way to remove them quickly.
