Hi! My name is Jeffrey Zhou, an undergraduate student at the
California Institute of Technology.
I'm currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering with an interest in software, machine learning, and circuit design. I'm also an enthusiast in UI/web design and 3D modeling, and love creating efficient visuals/interfaces.
Beyond academics, I've worked at NULL Studios (Now Rumble Studios) as a Game Developer revamping in-game vehicles and working on new features. Additionally, as an undergraduate researcher at
GALCIT,
I've gained experience in aerospace engineering, contributing to a project focused on propulsion systems optimization. I'm currently a part of Caltech/JPL's
Space Radiation Lab
training neural networks to classify decay phases in solar flare time-series data collected by the Solar Isotope Spectrometer aboard NASA's ACE orbiter.
In my personal
projects,
I explore technical but also practical challenges. My favorite one was implementing a full-stack web
application
that compiles, generates, and sells vehicle history reports.
While I'm not working on problem sets or research, you can usually find me building apps, practicing leetcode, swimming at the pool, or going out to eat with friends. I'm also part of the Caltech NCAA Division III
Swimming & Diving
team.
