Code Repository Guidelines

• Participants must use github for managing their codebase.
• Participants should make sure that the repository that they are sharing with us is public.
• Participants should not make only a single commit/push to repository with the final codebase, they should start with an empty repository and then keep on committing and pushing their code at some checkpoints of their choice.

Hosting/Deployment

• Participants can choose wherever they want to host and deploy their application.
• Some of free to use service providers are heroku, netlify, firebase, aws etc.

Submissions

• Please submit the working prototype along with all the code repositories, test cases and detailed instructions at [email protected] no later than 11:59 PM IST on 04 May 2022

USE CASES

Use case 1 – Instant on-demand access to Healthcare from anywhere.

Problem Statement – World is stuck with the pandemic and quick access to quality, affordable and reliable healthcare from anywhere is the need of the hour. People are confined in remote locations in their homes and hence there is an urgent need to come up with a digitally enabled solution to address the following –

1. Instant access to Health consultation similar to in person experience. Immediacy is a key here given how fast the health conditions deteriorate for individuals during pandemic times

2. Remote access to quality healthcare from anywhere and avoid moving out during lockdowns

3. No compromise on the privacy of the consultation involving PHI data and the ability to securely save the information for future reference

4. Overcome challenges of difference in dialect/ accent in remote consultation

5. Affordable access to Healthcare

Use case 2 – Instant scheduling of an appointment for a patient with doctor.

Problem Statement – Doctors are lifesavers and that is why they shouldn’t be too far from those who need healthcare. With more and more people having the need to seek medical attention, doctors need to make their services accessible and available to their patients. In this time and age where everything and anything can be found on the internet, we need to take advantage of the digital tools/ channels to enable quick scheduling of appointments.

Please envisage and develop a digital solution to give patients the freedom to book the appointments at anytime and from anywhere including the following features -

    1. Find availability of all doctor and book an appointment.

    2. Ability to find doctors near your location with doctors list sorted basis the distance

    3. There shall not be any conflicting consultation for the doctors/patients at the booked time slots.

    4. Enable the same through various Digital channels

Use case 3 – Build a parser which will convert EDI file to JSON format.

Problem Statement – In this digital era this is extremely important to digitize the information across the systems.  The digital information must flow electronically from one system to another system using standard protocols.  Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is the computer-to-computer exchange of business documents in a standard electronic format between business partners.

X12 is a message formatting standard used with EDI documents for trading partners to share electronic business documents in an agreed-upon and standard format. The X12 standard is important in a number of industries, including healthcare, manufacturing, insurance, supply chain, finance, and transportation.

However many systems cannot process these X12 files and they need a parser which can convert these X12 EDI messages to some readable format like JSON/XML .

In this problem build a parser which will convert  EDI X12 to JSON format. You can use any open source tool or any language like python, Java, C++ etc..

Solution Requirement

    • The parser should be able to read the entire X12 file – header, field separator, line separator, loops, segment, elements and store them in JSON file in the same hierarchical format. You can refer the specific X12 companion guide available publicly.

    • Parser should be able to take the input as X12 and will generate output as JSON file.

    • Test your solution with sample X12 files available publicly.
