Requirements

Project and Submission Requirements

  • To be eligible for judging, submissions to ViTAL’s Healthcare Hackathon must include a demo video of your project, with a maximum length of 5 minutes. ***Content beyond the 5-minute mark will not be considered in the judging process.*** Please also include a link to the Github repository used to access relevant code. 

    Your video should include:

    1. Introduction: Your team and project name.
    2. Problem: The healthcare issue you’re addressing.
    3. Solution: How your project tackles the problem.
    4. Demo: Key features and functionality in action.
    5. Tech: Briefly explain the tools/technologies used.
    6. Impact: The potential effect on preventive healthcare.

    Tip: Keep it clear, concise, and impactful!

 

Prizes and Winner Selection:

  • Judges will evaluate projects based on the following rubric: [INSERT LINK].
  • The team with the highest score from the judges' decision will be awarded the first-place prize.

  • Innovation and Creativity
    Solution offers a novel, creative approach to a problem, with clear evidence of unique thinking.
  • Technical Implementation
    Technologies are well-aligned with solution goals, and code is clean, modular, reusable, and well-documented.
  • User-centered design
    Solution is highly intuitive, patient-friendly, and visually polished.
  • Scalability
    Solution is easily expandable, with clear consideration for long-term usability and maintenance.
  • Video Presentation
    Presentation is clear, concise, and explains the healthcare challenge and solution impact, with strong visuals. Presentation is under 5 minutes.
