The second-generation AI audio glasses demonstrate EmdoorXR’s engineering strength with temples as thin as 5.5 millimeters and a total temple weight of just 23 grams. Equipped with a 220mAh steel-shell battery that reduces volume by 40 percent, the glasses support eight hours of music playback and up to 96 hours of standby time.

The product adopts an AAC0820 dynamic driver unit supporting bass compensation, spatial audio, and intelligent dynamic EQ. Directional sound design ensures clear audio without leakage, while a four-microphone array and dual-mode BLE provide accurate voice interaction and stable connectivity. With IP54 protection and smart touch controls, the glasses perform reliably during running or rainy commuting. Multiple frame styles, including aviator, cat-eye, and rimless designs, are supported. The edge-device-cloud AI system runs on Android and iOS, integrates mainstream global and domestic AI models, and enables six core functions such as voice chat, translation, and meeting assistance, positioning the product as a true personal AI audio companion.

NXP Semiconductors announced that Shenzhen Emdoor Virtual Reality Technology Co., Ltd. (EmdoorXR) has integrated the NXP i.MX RT685 crossover MCU into its new-generation AI glasses solution SW3021. The MCU provides a balance of low power consumption and advanced audio processing.

This advantage supports long battery life for AI glasses and enables smooth, instant response through “Voice Always On.” Users can enjoy an all-day wearable experience with convenient and intelligent interactions in many conditions.

Smart hardware is merging rapidly with artificial intelligence. Device-side multimodal interaction, instant response, and continuous sensing are becoming essential. As a new generation of smart terminals, AI glasses are expected to open new waves in human–computer interaction.

Weight, comfort, and battery endurance remain core challenges for AI glasses. Voice wake-up is also a key feature, as it is the most frequently used mode in daily tasks and directly affects battery life.

The NXP i.MX RT685 MCU uses multiple low-power technologies at the chip-design level. It supports low-frequency active-mode power consumption and very low standby power. These features enable long endurance and reliable always-on wake-up for various scenarios.

As an audio co-processor, the HiFi4 DSP running up to 600 MHz supports most noise-reduction tasks. Its strong audio and voice-processing ability ensures stable and efficient performance. When used as the main controller of AI glasses, it also reduces the need for external power components and allows for a smaller battery. This helps keep the device weight below 30 grams.
