WECE is hosting its returning hackathon WECEHacks, which will be hybrid this year! The mission of this event is to have a fun hardware and app-development-focused hackathon that is primarily for empowering women in our community who might otherwise face barriers to entry in other hackathons. Our event will run for two days with a series of workshops for a variety of skill-levels and a competition where teams will submit a project related to the themes of this year!

Requirements

Please create a web, mobile, or hardware application that fits one of our two themes. All code must be written between April 30th - May 1st, 2022 within the hackathon times. The code must be hosted on Github with a public link that is submitted. The web or mobile application must have a public URL so judges can view it. In addition, teams must write some information about their project including the theme submitted under, why they made this application, as well as what the impact is. Submissions will include a short 2-5 minute video demo-ing the project, or teams will present live for 2-5 minutes to the Judges and the rest of the participants.

The project does not have to be fully functioning, but must show the potential for a working product. However, mockups or clickable designs will not suffice.
