About the challenge
Join our Mini-Hackathon! The point of this short hack is to practice iterating fast + rapid prototyping + learning how to work in a team under pressure + consuming lots of caffeine to get through it all. The scale and ideas would be smaller, but you'll still go through all the steps of a full hackathon! Bonus- you don't need to have any prior experience- so if you've always wanted to learn, this is your chance!
Get started
Teams at the WiE Hackathon will be provided with the following case question: How can we encourage more women and girls to break into the STEM Industry? We want to see your best ideas that solve problems faced by the communities across the globe or Canada and anything else you think will make the world we live in a little brighter!
Requirements
What to Build
Anything that addresses the following theme: How can we encourage more women and girls to break into the STEM Industry?
What to Submit on Devpost
- Inspiration - explain the importance of the problem, your thought process, and any design inspiration
- What it does - what does your project do? How do users use it?
- How the project was built /tools used - how did you create it?
- What’s next - what's next for the project? How would this idea be further developed in the future?
- Video demo of the project (1-2 mins) - Record a video showing the functionality of your project. Audio/sound is not required. The purpose of the video is to simply make a record of your project and for others teams to view it, in case they did not get the chance to view in-person.
