Maximum number of participants in a team can be 4, and minimum 2.
Every member of the team must be an undergraduate student.
The initial judging/screening will be based on LinkedIn and/or GitHub and/or Hackerrank/Hackerearth profiles of the participants, based on which the shortlisting will be performed. All shortlisted teams will be contacted by the WIEHack team to take part in the competition.
The competition will be proceed with random broad themes on the day of the hackathon. The teams will be given freedom to choose any one of those themes.
Teams will be asked to propose their idea in first two hours of the hackathon in the form of an illustrative text.
The next step of the hackathon will be the actual development of the product idea proposed by the teams. In this step, 20+ hours will be provided to develop the code required and prepare a presentation.
Each team will be required to make a commit of their progress (regardless of amount of work) on the the submission portal through the ID provided by the team every two hours, failing which, the team will be deemed disqualified.
Copying segments of code or entire code from previous projects is not allowed.
You can use resources such as Stack Overflow and GitHub. In general, internet resources are allowed. However, direct plagiarism of ideas/code is not allowed.
There is no restriction on the programming languages and platforms used to develop the product.
The final stage of the hackathon will be conductive with a 3 minute presentation of the developed prototype.

We do not tolerate harassment of hackathon participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate at any hackathon venue, this includes the following.
hacks
talks, presentations, or demos
workshops
any parties associated to the hackathon
social media
any other online media
Hackathon participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the hackathon without the security refund (if applicable) at the discretion of the hackathon organisers.
