We are inviting a hundred guests to a small, intimate gathering hosted in hidden places around Kyoto: private gardens, secluded temples and places deep in the mountains. Usually concealed from the public, these historical places will open a window to people who want to contribute to and connect deeply with the local community and culture.

The first edition of Chapters Kyoto visualizes the invisible spirit of Asian philosophy and Zen Buddhist teachings through cultural expressions—some drawing from Japanese tradition, others presented by international delegates. Over four days, experience art, music, rituals, ceremonies inspired by the context of each site, rooted in its physicality.
