Author Ranking System
Our ranking system calculates the influence and success of WordPress.org authors based on the total number of active installations across their entire portfolio (both plugins and themes).
Score = Total Active Installs
This straightforward approach ensures that the authors with the most widely used products in the WordPress ecosystem hold the highest positions in our ranking.

| Tier Progress | Your progress percentage towards the next installation level, compared to all other items in the same bracket. |

| Market Share | Percentage of installs within a specific tag/category. |
| Global Ecosystem Share | The estimated share of the entire WordPress ecosystem. This calculation is based on the benchmark that Elementor (5M+ installs) holds approximately 30.7% of the ecosystem, as reported by W3Techs. |
Technical Background
WPMonitor aggregates data from multiple sources:
- WordPress.org API: For core plugin/theme data and historical download stats.
- Custom Crawlers: To track daily ranking changes and position shifts.
- Local Storage: For personalized keyword tracking and "My List" functionality.
How to Add Keywords
You can track the search engine performance of any plugin or theme by adding custom keywords:
- Navigate to a specific Plugin or Theme page.
- Scroll down to the Keywords section.
- Enter your target keywords separated by commas (e.g.,
seo, optimization, marketing). - Click Submit.
