Accessibility at Atlassian

Accessibility is core to our mission to unleash the potential of every team. We are building accessible products, investing in transparent reporting, and evolving how we work so that all customers can use Atlassian tools with confidence and thrive at work. We are committed to conforming to WCAG 2.2 AA.

Our approach

In FY26 and beyond, we are focusing on:

  • Designing for accessibility from the start with stronger guardrails, design annotations, and an Atlassian Design System built with accessible components.
  • Scaling engineering controls through accessibility tooling, linters, code scanners, and automated accessibility QA requests.
  • Upleveling skills across Atlassian with mandatory accessibility training for employees in all roles.
  • Partnering with our customers and community via our accessibility support portal, customer focus groups that include people with disabilities, and regular validation of our strategy.
  • Verifying our progress independently with third‑party testing of new features and quarterly audits that produce accurate, verified VPAT/ACR documents.
  • Holding ourselves accountable with clear targets—including a shared backlog and time‑bound SLOs (for example, 60 days for critical and 120 days for high‑severity issues).
  • Reducing issues at the source by embedding “shift‑left” practices so new features ship accessible by default.
  • Being transparent about where we stand, including a public backlog of our accessibility issues and updates on large‑scale remediation work (such as fixing 6,000+ critical and high‑severity issues in FY25, an 1100% year‑over‑year increase).

VPAT documents

The following Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) documents describe the level of support each product offers for specific WCAG 2.2 AA criteria. These VPATs are required by Section 508 of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act to provide procurement officers with data to compare the level of relative accessibility between competing solutions.
