If your kid is into something, it is usually recommended to let the kid explore this interest further. However, it is also recommended to have a variety of interests and therefore it is important to find ways to connect this one interest with others.

Scratch helps as an early step for understanding the development world, from coding concepts to coding languages. It, together with other early stage coding software would be a great place to start. Keep in mind that today there are web development platforms, where coding is not necessary to create state of the art websites, from blogs to corporate to e-commerce.
