The WiFi issue might be related to the compatibility of your hardware and mainline Kernel. Try restarting twice/thrice. Also, see the output of journalctl -f and check what’s showing for wireless conn

I just installed it and tried it and blah. First, It wouldn’t keep my ethernet connection working. I kept getting “No internet”. Second, The file system doesn’t recognize the drive that Mint is on. Third, I only had Linux installed and went to install Steam. It warned me that I would only have 16gb left after install.
REALLY! On a 500gb ssd. You have to be joking. Last , my package manager didn’t work at all.
Now I can’t reuse this ssd since Windows doesn’t see it now.
I have:
AMD 5 5600u, 48gb ram 1tb nvme, 2tb ssd.

I tried several Linux distributions and Mint has been the most reliable, which should be important for newbies. It is a ‘pro-evolution’ and not ‘pro-revolution” distro, so there are no drastic experiments on the user.

While my intro to Linux OS was in the late 1990s with Slackware, I finally put an end my Windows life in 2016, I installed Mint and upgrade it to every major versions and happy with it.
