Physical Donations to the Internet Archive
Go inside the Internet Archive’s physical donation program and learn how physical collections become digital history.
Did you know that the Internet Archive has a robust gift-in-kind program? We work with libraries, schools, publishers, and individual collectors who are looking to donate physical materials to the Internet Archive for preservation and digitization (as funding allows). We also have an innovative literacy partnership with Better World Books, a trusted partner for many libraries.
Attendees will hear from donation manager Liz Rosenberg and her team as they walk through the physical donations program. The team—along with partners from Better World Books, the Democracy’s Library project and Internet Archive Canada—will explain how we work with libraries and collectors, the kinds of materials the Internet Archive is interested in acquiring, and how donors can participate in the Internet Archive’s mission of providing “Universal Access to All Knowledge” by contributing unique collections for preservation.
