![Today, we remember and honour the late Jordan River Anderson on his birthday.
He was a young boy from Norway House Cree Nation in Manitoba, and lived with multiple disabilities. Jordan passed away, and lived over two years in a hospital because the federal and provincial/territorial governments could not agree on who would pay for the services for First Nation's children on-reserve.
We now have Jordan's Principle, the child-first principle that upholds the human rights for all First Nations children.
