Destinations Certification Program
Green Destinations Certification Program is an internationally accredited destination certification programme assessing and certifying tourism destinations against globally aligned sustainability standards. Certification is delivered independently, transparently, and in full compliance with international accreditation requirements.

Good Travel Institute supports destinations, tourism businesses, and professionals in improving sustainability performance and market readiness through training, tools, and advisory services. Good Travel Alliance
The Good Travel Alliance supports member destinations in developing an on-the-ground economic model for sustainable tourism by promoting and selling low-impact tourism experiences to travellers.
Good Travel Seal & Good Travel Scan
The Good Travel Seal is a recognition management program for all tourism and travel related businesses and facilities, designed to be feasible and affordable especially for SMEs.
The Good Travel Scan encourages medium and small family-run enterprises (SMEs) that have no previous knowledge or experience in sustainability management to take a first step in the right direction.
Good Travel Support
The Good Travel Support program is a pioneering, sustainability-driven approach for partners, delivering a thorough assessment of their destination management or business before working alongside them to build and implement a sustainable tourism model.
Good Travel Guide
The Good Travel Guide is an online platform that promotes more responsible and sustainable tourism by showcasing destinations, experiences, and businesses that benefit local communities and protect the environment. Developed by the Good Travel Institute, it helps travelers discover and book meaningful travel experiences that minimize negative impacts while supporting local cultures and economies.

The Good Travel Stories Competition is an initiative which aims to translate technical sustainability into compelling, human-centric narratives. We believe that responsible destinations and service providers deserve more than just certification—they deserve the global visibility and market reach that matches the quality of their work and leads to action on the side of the traveller.

Green Destinations Foundation
CERTIFICATION BODY
Green Destinations Foundation operates an independent Certification Body responsible for the Green Destinations Certification Programme. Certification is based on third-party assessment and conducted in accordance with defined procedures.All certification decisions are made independently and are not influenced by advisory, membership, or consultancy activities.
Good Travel Institute
SUPPORT & MARKET ACCESS
The Good Travel Institute supports destinations, tourism businesses, and professionals in improving sustainability performance and market readiness through training, tools, and advisory services.
It also develops and operates programmes that support tourism businesses in assessing and improving the sustainability performance and positive impact of their travel offer, while enhancing the visibility of more sustainable travel options.
Our Events
Every year, the Green Destinations and Good Travel Community offers exceptional opportunities for tourism stakeholders to comprehensively discuss sustainable destination management practices and connect with like-minded pioneers and advocates. Our signature, biannual events are the Green Destinations and Good Travel Event at ITB Berlin and the Green Destinations Conference.
