AIGA’s Professional Design Certification offers many layers of value. There is the knowledge itself, a grounding in design concepts and principles, plus the constellation of design-adjacent topics like intellectual property, contracts, and ethics. But there is also something harder to quantify: the ability to make your expertise legible to people who don’t speak design. by Lee-Sean Huang
