I'm excited to share that Jon Boyer is joining Blacksmith as our VP of Sales. Jon was previously Head of Sales at Zapier, and before that, worked at Postman and Slack. Until now, sales has been mostly founder-led, and we've gotten pretty far without a real sales team. We grew 12x in revenue last year and are now nearing eight figures, with over 1,200 customers. Jon is going to help us scale our core CI offering and build the motion to sell the additional products we're already building. We're also hiring AEs in SF - link in the comments. A bit of a backstory: when I first met Jon, I accidentally scheduled the call for 6am for 30 minutes. I was half asleep when we started. We ended up talking for over an hour, and by the end, I felt way more energized than when it started. I had a gut feeling we were going to work together. I've learned over time that the best hires are the ones that leave you with more energy than when the conversation started.

📣 Excited to share that I’m joining Blacksmith as VP of Sales. I’m coming in to help build out go-to-market as Blacksmith defines what the next era of developer infrastructure looks like. The second-order effects of AI are already massive. Developers are rapidly embracing agents to write code, but they are still running that code on legacy infrastructure that was never designed for agentic and bursty workloads. Blacksmith’s vision is clear and deeply compelling: build the cloud for code, starting with CI and expand from there.
