Last week, Cloudflare sponsored Vue.js Amsterdam — two days of great talks and meaningful conversations with the frontend community. Matt Kane took the stage to dive into Astro 6, the biggest release yet of the framework many Vue developers use to ship to production. He covered the redesigned dev server powered by Vite's Environment API -- letting you develop against real runtimes like Cloudflare Workers instead of simulations -- plus the new experimental Rust compiler, live content collections, built-in CSP support, and standards-based route caching. For Cloudflare users, the rebuilt @astrojs/cloudflare adapter now runs workerd at every stage with full local access to KV, D1, R2, and Durable Objects. No more "works in dev, breaks in prod." The best part? Hearing directly from developers about what they love building on Cloudflare and where we can improve. Thank you, Vue.js Conference Amsterdam and everyone who connected with us.

What a first day at Gartner Risk & Security in Sydney, Australia! If you weren’t at Theatre Two at 12:45 PM, you missed the blueprint for AI security! Cloudflare's Field CISO, Volker Rath, just delivered the ultimate reality check: you don’t need to reinvent your stack to survive the AI era—you just need the right edge. The Booth was Electric 🦾 The star of the show? Steve, our robotic arm, teamed up with his creator Michael Snowden for back-to-back live builds. We didn’t just talk about security; we proved it. We showed how the Cloudflare Developer Platform bakes compliance and risk management directly into the code. Deploying at the edge has never been this automated—or this secure. Don't get left on the legacy stack. The crowd was deep today, but we’re just getting started. If you missed the hype (or just want to see Steve in action), we're doing it all again tomorrow. Swing by 218 for our next session!

Stop paying to access your own data; start building storage without boundaries! In this workshop, we will use Cloudflare R2 to build globally distributed, egress-free storage architectures at the edge. We’ll move beyond the "data tax" of legacy providers like S3 to explore how R2’s zero-egress model and S3-compatible API enable total data mobility and lower operational overhead. We’ll tackle core migration hurdles like "how do I move petabytes of data without downtime?" and "how do I eliminate egress fees during the transition?", while diving deep into Sippy for incremental, zero-downtime migrations that copy objects from S3 to R2 on-the-fly as they are requested, alongside Super Slurper for managing massive, one-time bulk transfers. You will build a scalable storage workflow that leverages rclone to integrate R2 into your existing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps scripting workflows and Cloudflare Workers to automate data management on a global network. You’ll walk away with the skills to design an edge-native storage layer that integrates seamlessly with your business logic—without the surprise bill.
