Wow American Airlines I arrived back on a flight form JFK to LAX at 8pm last night. In the cab, my husband realized that he had left his Amazon Kindle on the plane. It was somewhat nostalgic as he had all of his “I VOTED” stickers on the back of it from previous elections (sidebar, please go vote). We agreed just to buy a new one rather than deal with the expected nightmare of trying to get it back. At 10am today, I received an email saying they’d found the kindle, and would we like to collect it from LAX or they could ship it to us via FedEx. We had not emailed them. We had not called them. American Airlines had been proactive with CS. Gobsmacked. Impressed. Delighted. That’s how you do it. #customerservice

Phenomenal! And you must be a fellow Brit, as most people here aren’t gobsmacked (or don’t realise they are) 😊

Amazing experience for you, glad it worked out that way. Now if they can learn how to operate an airline I will be impressed.

AA has burned me fairly recently, hopefully this is a sign that they are turning the page.
