Hi, I'm Mat, and my tiny team and I are making Feudums, an upcoming medieval grand strategy game which combines kingdom management and persistent dynasty building in online multiplayer with NO pay-to-win shortcuts. Protect and grow your holdings and noble house with the help and/or against other players. Navigate through an unforgiving feudal society, forge alliances and bind loyal vassals, outsmart adversaries and lead bold military campaigns. Witness how the expanding shadow of your dynasty envelops the world as your house's renown carries over to new game sessions. The game is currently in development and will be released on PC - with possible Mac and tablet releases later on. Our demo is continuously updated and always playable as an interactive dev diary, keeping things fully transparent and fostering dialogue. Community votes drive the feature priorities, and I've delivered over 40 regular and major, entirely free updates - not counting patches! - over the years. You can follow and wishlist Feudums on Steam, subscribe to our newsletter, try the latest public build, and join the dialogue on discord. I'm also on bluesky! Whether you can afford to support us or not, I hope you'll like the idea! ⬣ A Social Grand Strategy / 4X which combines kingdom management and dynasty building ⬣ Medieval heraldry commemorates your legacy ⬣ Rich diplomacy system with non-binding promises, manipulation - and consequences. ⬣ Tactical Warfare with rich tools to cooperate. ⬣ Player to player Vassalage ⬣ Simulated medieval life based on the seasons - from growth, health or field labor to war. ⬣ Fully moddable. ⬣ Fair to play! Zero pay-to-win shortcuts in multiplayer. I am a Microsoft Innovation Awardee and co-creator of two RPG MUSHes (the precursor of roleplay-focused multiplayer CRPGs), which sadly also reflects my age. I'm a forever strategy game- and former RPG nerd, also a hobbist game systems designer since the C64 era, and a professional software engineer / architect for over 20 years. Feudums is both my dream game and passion project, and I love working on it. I'm working with most of my contributors - all seasoned veterans of their crafts - for over 8 years, some of whom I know from my professional background, others from the indie game development scene. It is an ambitious and risky project, and it needs all the financial support and feedback it can get. I quit my B2B job years ago and have been self-funding the project for over 6 years, to mitigate the risk for everyone else. I like to bootstrap to my limits and beyond, but I have a family to take care of, and with no publisher to support the project, relying solely on my savings makes the project both vulnerable and slow to proceed. Support would allow me and my contributors to keep working on Feudums and with enough support, to really speed things up. I am extremely thankful for any support and am looking forward to build Feudums together! My promise to you is transparency and commitment. I'm an active participant in the game's discord community and so far I have added over a hundred features, changes and improvements based on player feedback, many of which I developed in direct consultation with them. Roadmap (or development milestone) priorities have also been voted on by the community for years. Feudums is a community game and I firmly believe in transparency and dialogue.
