]]>Continuity for Clients
For existing AdUnit clients, everything will remain as it is. Contacts, service, and ongoing campaigns will not change. As of March 1, 2026, the team and technology will be united under the umbrella of RMS and integrated into Ringier Advertising: from the booking tool to the inventory. Development, operation, and further enhancement will take place in Switzerland.
AdUnit Booking Tool – integrated at Ringier Advertising
The AdUnit Booking Tool acts as a one-stop-shop for advertisers and agencies for self-booking or as a managed service. It provides access to the entire inventory of RMS Switzerland as well as relevant external digital channels such as YouTube, TikTok, Meta, or LinkedIn. The offering is supplemented by DOOH, audio, and CTV. A unified user interface simplifies booking and accelerates processes. Fully automated reporting, cross-channel billing (“one campaign, one invoice”), and a multi-DSP strategy significantly reduce administrative effort and increase efficiency for both clients and marketers.
RMS sends a clear signal in the digital advertising market
With the acquisition of AdUnit, RMS is making a clear statement: for integration, for regional strength in the digital advertising market, and for the targeted expansion of its own value creation along the entire commercialisation chain.

]]>As General Manager Europe Central at AWS, Chris Keller is responsible for business in over 30 countries in Central and Eastern Europe. Previously, he managed the country organizations in Switzerland and Austria as General Manager Switzerland & Austria. With his international leadership responsibility and his perspective on technology, scaling, and cultural change, he brings an additional strategic perspective to the National Advisory Board of EqualVoice.
Dr. Annabella Bassler, Group CFO of Ringier and initiator of EqualVoice: “Tawakkol Karman embodies exactly what EqualVoice stands for: conviction, courage, and the belief that visibility is a core democratic issue. And with Chris Keller, we are gaining a leader who shapes transformation and responsibility on a global scale. Both will greatly enrich our international work, both in terms of content and strategy.”
Measurable progress through changed editorial practices
At the heart of EqualVoice is the EqualVoice-Factor, a semantic algorithm that measures the presence of women and men in editorial content (text, audio, and video).
The evaluations of the EqualVoice-Factor for the second half of 2025 show that the initiative is having a measurable impact in Switzerland and internationally. Continuous measurement is effective and is changing editorial routines.
It is clear that visibility is less a matter of format and more a matter of editorial stance. Titles that consistently focus on proximity, relevance, and real-life connection not only achieve high content impact but also a more balanced presence of women and men. The EqualVoice-Factor thus makes visible how journalistic priorities are shifting—away from a pure information logic toward more meaning- and people-oriented storytelling.
Switzerland: Significantly higher visibility – new benchmarks in 2025
In Switzerland, almost all titles of Ringier Media Switzerland were able to increase their teaser and body visibility in 2025 compared to 2024, both in print and online. The development at GaultMillau was particularly strong, with an online increase of 16.1 percentage points. The overall average of the Body Score is now 36.8 percent (print) and 33 percent (online), respectively. Schweizer LandLiebe sets a clear internal benchmark here with 52 percent (online).

New peaks are also being reached in headline visibility, the Teaser Score: Schweizer LandLiebe leads with a clear 66 percent, followed by GlücksPost print (49 percent), Beobachter (43 percent), and Schweizer Illustrierte (43 percent online / 39 percent print). The prominent placement of female voices is increasingly becoming an editorial standard. Blick has an online Teaser Score of 27 percent (print: 23 percent), thus remaining at a solid level.

International: Progress with clear differences
The EqualVoice-Factor is also showing an effect in international markets. Poland is performing particularly well: with an average Body Score of 50 percent, 52.3 percent in headlines, and 54.7 percent in images, the portfolio of Ringier Axel Springer Polska achieves a high, balanced level – especially in the health, lifestyle, and family sections.
Serbia is also in the top group with Teaser and Image Scores of around 55 percent each. In Slovakia, a good foundation has been established with solid average values, while at the same time showing recognizable potential for development. A consistent pattern is emerging across all markets: high EqualVoice scores are achieved where relevance is created through proximity, context, and identification.

]]>The post “The Celebrity Scammers”: New izzy Film Exposes the Billion-Dollar Business of Fake Celebrities appeared first on Ringier.
]]>The new 50-minute film from izzy, the investigative digital brand of Ringier Media Switzerland, is titled “The Celebrity Scammers.” It is now available exclusively for Blick+ subscribers. Izzy reveals how the celebrity scamming scheme works and how the perpetrators are lured into a trap using their own tricks.
The film tells real stories, including a particularly absurd one from Davos: two older men claim to have secured an exclusive concert deal with the iconic Swedish band ABBA. Contracts are signed, travel is planned, and advance payments are transferred. In the end, thousands of francs are invested.
Following “The Grandparent Scammers” (2024) and “How to Cheat a Casino” (2025), the izzy crew’s new project takes them to Nigeria, Sweden, and across Switzerland. In “The Celebrity Scammers,” global stars become bait, scammers become the scammed, and major social media platforms find themselves in a position that raises uncomfortable questions: What is still real, and when can we still trust our own eyes and ears?

The initiative’s content is guided by the fifth United Nations Sustainable Development Goal, which promotes gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls.
On January 27, 2026, the member companies of EqualVoice United met for a C-Level Breakfast at the Ringier Pressehaus in Zurich to further develop their common path, discuss the next steps at the leadership level, and welcome the three new member companies, Yuh, Zurich Opera and USZ.
Strong presence for EqualVoice at the World Woman Forum in Davos
The EqualVoice initiative was represented with two panels at the World Woman Forum in Davos. This presence in Davos is not merely symbolic but intentional: where political decision-makers, leading business figures, and global opinion leaders convene, negotiations also take place on who is visible, who is heard, and whose perspectives shape public discourse. Anyone aiming to sustainably strengthen the role of women in business, media, and society must address these questions precisely where agendas are set and reach has an impact.
On January 22, 2026, at the World Woman House, participants including Annabella Bassler, CFO of Ringier and founder of EqualVoice, Brittany Kaiser, CEO of AlphaTON Capital, Tamara Raich, Founder & President of Athena21, Christine Graeff, Global Chief Growth Officer of FGS Global, Leila Toplic, Chief Communications & Trust Officer of Carbonfuture AG, and Harald Port, Founding Partner at PvL Partners, discussed leadership, influence, and responsibility in the C-suite. The panels were moderated by Rupa Dash, Founder & CEO, World Woman Davos Agenda, and Annabella Bassler.

]]>Annabella Bassler, CFO Ringier and founder of EqualVoice: “What we experienced on Saturday is more than just a well-attended game. It is a strong signal for the growing relevance, increasing visibility, and societal recognition of women’s ice hockey in Switzerland.”
EqualVoice as a content framework
The record-breaking game was part of a joint event by EqualVoice, Blick, and the ZSC Lions, aiming to combine top athletic performance with the overarching issues of visibility, role models, and sustainable structures in women’s sports. The focus was on several EqualVoice panel discussions, featuring speakers such as Kathrin Lehmann (former national ice hockey and soccer player, sports expert, SIHF board member), Florence Schelling (PWHL podcast host, board member of I Believe in You AG, keynote speaker, Olympic & World Championship medalist), Roger Gemperle (CMO of ZSC Lions AG & member of the Executive Board), Nicole Vandenbrouck (ice hockey reporter for Blick), Tamara Raich (CEO & founder of the Athena21 Foundation), Dr. Nora Wieloch (Senior Physician in Sports Medicine at Balgrist University Hospital), Andreas Badertscher (medical supervisor for GCK Lions), Monika Waidacher (Head Women’s Teams ZSC Lions), Lea Eberle (CFO Ringier Media Switzerland & COO of EqualVoice), and Annabella Bassler (CFO Ringier and founder of EqualVoice).
A signal far beyond sports
The fact that the league record has now been broken in Zurich is no coincidence, but rather a reflection of a clear development: women’s ice hockey is gaining audience, relevance, and appeal. The joint event by EqualVoice, Blick, and the ZSC Lions not only made this dynamic visible but also concretely demonstrated the potential that lies within this sport – athletically, socially, and economically. January 24 was therefore not just a record-breaking day, but a benchmark for what becomes possible when visibility is strategically planned and consistently implemented.

]]>The post Biography of Ringier publicist Frank A. Meyer, “Auf ein Wort”, presented in Zurich appeared first on Ringier.
]]>The book tells the life of a man who not only observes politics but also analyzes and occasionally helps shape it. In the 1990s, some referred to Meyer as the “eighth Federal Councillor.” Lüchinger portrays Meyer not as a classic biographical hero, but as someone who consistently challenges the conventions of the establishment. The narrative leads from a working-class apartment in Biel through the halls of the Federal Palace to the political and intellectual salons of Berlin.
A central theme runs through the text: Meyer’s origins as the son of a watchmaker, whose political compass was forged at the workbench. His father’s stories of freedom, responsibility, and solidarity continue to shape his stance to this day.
Lüchinger describes Meyer as a publicistic “solitaire among wordsmiths” – a journalist who understood early on that influence is only gained by developing an independent voice. “No one has ever become a brand by following the crowd,” the book states. Meyer’s profile was not built on proximity to power, but on his insistence on fundamental republican values and his journalistic independence.
The work follows his path from typesetter to political chronicler: from early portraits in the Federal Palace and the talk show “Vis-à-vis” to his columns in SonntagsBlick, which have been a part of Swiss political debate for decades.
René Lüchinger dedicates a separate chapter to Frank A. Meyer’s role as a mediator of political culture – with his “Dîner-Débats” in Bern and his “Dîner Républicain” in Ascona, which has been held for over 50 years. Through his commitment to the “European Prize for Political Culture” of the Hans Ringier Foundation and his passionate defense of democratic institutions, Frank A. Meyer shows that he has never seen journalism as a mere observational discipline, but as a contribution to public enlightenment.
The presentation of the 2023 “European Prize for Political Culture” to the Russian dissident Alexei Navalny, who died in captivity, and which was accepted by his wife Yulia Navalnaya and his son Zakhar Navalny in Ascona, acts as a magnifying glass for his republican fervor: “Frank A. Meyer’s lifelong commitment to freedom and against oppression has rarely experienced a more powerful moment,” writes Lüchinger.
The Meyer biography is thus less a linear life story than a political survey: a text about origin and attitude, about intellectual independence, about the tension between proximity and distance to power, and about a man who, for over five decades, has reminded us that democracy remains a daily conversation.
