At eighty two, I am one of the Over Fifty VR users and have gained from reading posts in the FaceBook Group. I started using SuperNatural three and a half years ago three or four times a week but now with a new heat set I am exploring mixed reality in familiar spaces. The advances in VR I believe really benefit the older community. I participate to increase my social contacts, stay flexible and have a broad sense of community that allows me to enjoy a richer life.

As an attendee of the VR meeting I highly recommend it. There is also a method that you CAN access the meetings without the Quest headset but the experience is MUCH better using the headset

Great to see an article by someone extremely active in the VR media space. A true VR enthusiast and player, Wes brings his years of VR playing and fandom of the platform to this article. I know this was not a solo effort, but I know Wes turned to those he respects in the VR space to help round out his opinions. While I may not agree with who all the winners selected, I will agree that those selected were worthy as well.

Ah man, I use my Quest 3 mainly as a PCVR headset and this was currently the only game on my quest wishlist. Guess it’s time to remove that and wait for the Steam release! Hopefully we can get even more graphics upgrades.

likely then that meta approached rebellion, and a probable sack of money was involved. Screen grab doesn’t look like anything beyond what the quest 2 can handle, so you’re probably correct in assuming the short and shallow. I don’t get why (if meta are contributing funds to these projects) that when using established IP and good developers, they aren’t building titles for the quest 3. Indies won’t for obvious reasons, but meta funded titles, come on…

there are those of us who have absolutely no interest at all in “combat”, or “FPS” or “terror” (CST) games. We like to play things like Myst or Moss or Red Matter. I notice that the VAST MAJORITY of games, sadly, CST games. Can you make a “best non CST games” list?
