Selected eighth overall in the 2025 NBA Draft out of Brigham Young University, Dёmin has appeared in 52 games (45 starts) for the Nets this season with averages of 10.3 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 25.2 minutes per game. He ranks second among NBA rookies this season with 124 3-pointers, which ranks as the second most by a rookie in franchise history, and his 38.5 percent shooting from 3-point range is the highest 3-point field goal percentage by a qualified rookie in Nets history. Dёmin was selected to the 2026 Castrol Rising Stars at NBA All-Star in Los Angeles and won the mini tournament on Team Vince, coached by Vince Carter. Earlier in the season, the native of Moscow, Russia, set the franchise rookie record with seven 3-pointers made in a game (7-of-14) on Dec. 29 vs. Golden State and set the NBA rookie record with a 3-pointer made in 34 straight games from Nov. 7, 2025, to Jan. 30, 2026.

In 23 Tip-Off Tournament and regular season games (17 starts) for Long Island this season, Nelson has recorded averages of 11.1 points on 54.9 percent shooting from the field and 80.9 percent shooting from the free-throw line, 6.0 rebounds (2.6 offensive) and 1.2 assists in 19.3 minutes per game. The 23-year-old spent part of the preseason with Brooklyn, signing with the Nets on Oct. 15, 2025, before being waived on Oct. 18, 2025, and was also a member of Brooklyn’s 2025 NBA Summer League team. Prior to his professional career, Nelson played two collegiate seasons (2023-25) at the University of Alabama. He helped lead the Crimson Tide to the Elite Eight last season as a graduate student after earning a spot on the 2024 NCAA West Region All-Tournament Team the previous season in Alabama’s first-ever trip to the Final Four. The Devils Lake, N.D., native previously played three seasons (2020-23) at North Dakota State University, where he garnered First Team All-Summit League honors as a junior.

winner and the 2022 National League Most Valuable Player INF Paul Goldschmidt to a one-year Major League contract.

Goldschmidt, 38, hit .274/.328/.403 (134-for-489) with 76R, 31 doubles, 1 triple, 10HR, 45RBI, 36BB, 4HP, 2SF and 5SB in146 games with the Yankees in 2025. He batted .336/.411/.570 (50-for-149) with 14 doubles, 7HR, 17BB/5IBB and 2HP vs.left-handed pitching last season, ranking fourth among Major League batters in OPS (.981, fourth in AL), and seventh in
BA (fourth in AL), OBP (sixth in AL) and SLG (fifth in AL). He also hit .312/.389/.394 (34-for-109) with 6 doubles, 1HR,
34RBI, 14BB, 1HP and 2SF with runners in scoring position.

In 15 Major League seasons with the Arizona Diamondbacks (2011-18), St. Louis Cardinals (2019-24) and Yankees (2025), Goldschmidt has batted .288/.378/.504 (2,190-for-7,608) with 1,280R, 477 doubles, 24 triples, 372HR, 1,232RBI, 1,086BB and 174SB in 2,074 career games. He has appeared in at least 145 games in each of the last 10 non-shortened seasons (2015-19, ’21-25) and in 12 of his last 13 non-shortened seasons (2012-13, ’15-19 and ’21-25), the most by any Major League player during both of those
spans.

The seven-time All-Star (2013-18 and ’22) has hit at least 20 home runs 11 times in his career (2012-13, ’15-19 and ’21- 24), tied with Bryce Harper and Freddie Freeman for the second-most 20-home run seasons since 2012, trailing only Giancarlo Stanton (12). Goldschmidt’s seven 30-homer seasons (2013, ’15, ’17-19 and ’21-22) since 2013 are tied for the most in the Majors over that span. His 372 career home runs are the third-most among active players, trailing only Stanton (453HR) and Mike Trout (404HR).

In his career, Goldschmidt has hit .324/.422/.584 (580-for-1,792) with 125 doubles, 9 triples, 108HR and 306BB vs. left handed pitchers. Among all Major League players since 1974 with at least 750 career plate appearances against left handed pitching, Goldschmidt ranks seventh in OPS (1.007), eighth in on-base percentage and ninth in slugging
percentage.

He has also hit .296/.420/.500 (530-for-1,788) with 109 doubles, 9 triples, 79HR, 794RBI, 407BB and 57SF with runners in scoring position in his career.

Goldschmidt has finished in the top-three in National League MVP voting four times and in the top-10 six times (first in
2022, second in 2013 and 2015, third in 2017, and sixth in 2018 and 2021), winning the award in 2022 after batting
.317/.404/.578 (178-for-561) with 106R, 41 doubles, 35HR, 115RBI and 79BB in 151 games with the Cardinals. He has also been named the National League Hank Aaron Award winner twice (2013, ’22) and his five Silver Slugger Awards at first base (2013, ‘15, ’17-18 and ‘22) are the most by a first baseman since the award’s inception in 1980. Goldschmidt also earned All-MLB First Team honors in 2022.

The four-time Gold Glove Award winner (2013, ’15, ’17 and ’21) has posted a career .997 fielding percentage
(59E/17,717TC) in 1,984 career games at first base, the highest fielding percentage among Major League first basemen
since 2011 (min. 750 games).

Goldschmidt will play for Team USA for the third time in his career during this year’s World Baseball Classic. He won the Gold Medal in 2017 and the Silver Medal in 2023.

The Wilmington, Del., native was selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the eighth round of the 2009 First-Year
Player Draft out of Texas State University. He was acquired by the Cardinals from the Diamondbacks in exchange for C
Carson Kelly, RHP Luke Weaver, INF Andy Young and a 2019 competitive balance draft pick on December 5, 2018. He originally signed with the Yankees on December 30, 2024.

The Brooklyn Nets will commemorate the Chinese New Year on Wednesday, Feb. 11 when the team hosts the Indiana Pacers at Barclays Center, with the celebration supported by OCM Globe, Inc. and Venturant Group. The Chinese New Year game is an annual celebration and part of the Nets Unite platform, which seeks to build unity, celebrate culture, and foster equity by amplifying the rich cultures of Brooklyn’s diverse communities. 2026 is the Year of the Horse and to mark the occasion, a limited-edition merchandise line inspired by the Chinese Zodiac and Brooklyn’s distinctive street style will be sold exclusively in the Nets’ team store at Barclays Center, Brooklyn Fanatics.

Supporting partners of the Nets’ Chinese New Year game, OCM Globe, Inc. and Venturant Group, will host a cultural experience inspired by the ancient Chinese “Yi Zhan” – a vibrant hub of connection that provided rest, shelter, and community for messengers and travelers on long-distance journeys. The activation in Section 23 will feature six booths featuring different culinary vendors. Additionally, all fans will receive a Chinese New Year bookmark presented by OCM Globe, Inc., offering a chance to enter to win exclusive Chinese New Year merchandise. The Nets will celebrate the holiday in a variety of other ways including a wish board inviting fans to share their New Year wishes with the community, as well as a milk tea sampling station and ring toss giveaway, presented by Molly Tea in Section 15.

Chinese singer, actor and content creator Will Liu will take the court for a special halftime performance presented by Pechoin. The night will also feature themed performances by Team Hype and the Brooklynettes celebrating Chinese culture. Emma Zhu, one of the members of Brooklyn 8 – the first-ever Brooklynettes China Team – will join the Brooklynettes on the court following the group’s debut at the 2025 NBA China Games. Beyond their performances, Brooklyn 8 has represented the Brooklyn Nets in China through community programs, workshops and more.

Prior to tip-off, the National Anthem will be performed on the traditional horsehead fiddle by Chinese musical artist Surina, and player introductions will be announced in Chinese. Nets players will wear custom Chinese New Year shooting shirts during warmups, and videos featuring Chinese New Year wishes from various players will be shared on the team’s social media channels and shown in arena. Red and gold, Chinese New Year–inspired elements will be featured throughout Barclays Center, creating an immersive game-day experience.

Taking the Chinese New Year celebrations beyond Barclays Center and into the community,  the Nets will host a Brooklyn Basketball clinic at the Chinatown YMCA including a red envelope designing workshop, snacks and a clinic led by Brooklyn Basketball coaches. Schuemann, 28, batted .197 (36-for-183) with 20R, 4 doubles, 2 triples, 2HR, 13RBI, 22BB and 7SB in 101 games with the Athletics in 2025. He appeared defensively at second base (39G/20GS), third base (27G/11GS), shortstop (24G/11GS), left field (7G/4GS), centerfield (4G/1GS) and right field (2G).

Over parts of two Major League seasons with the A’s (2024-25), the right-handed batter has hit .212 (123-for-579) with 75R, 18 doubles, 2 triples, 9HR, 47RBI, 69BB and 21SB in 234 career games. Schuemann has appeared defensively at shortstop (117G/98GS), third base (54G/33GS), second base (48G/26GS), left field (14G/7GS), centerfield (6G/2GS) and right field (3G).

The Kalamazoo, Mich., native was originally selected by the A’s in the 20th round of the 2018 First-Year Player Draft out of Eastern Michigan University. He was designated for assignment by the Athletics on February 6, 2026.

Burgos, 20, has gone 4-4 with a 3.39 ERA (79.2IP, 63H, 42R/30ER, 42BB, 71K, 3HR) in 25 games (10 starts) over parts of two minor league seasons in the Yankees organization (2024-25). In 2025, the right-handed pitcher went 3-4 with a 2.44 ERA (51.2IP, 37H, 20R/14ER, 23BB, 48K, 2HR) in 11 games (eight starts) with the DSL Bombers. The Santo Domíngo, D.R., native was originally signed by the Yankees as a non-drafted free agent on June 2, 2024.

To make room on the 40-man roster, the Yankees have designated OF Yanquiel Fernández for assignment.

Additionally, the Yankees outrighted RHP Dom Hamel and INF Braden Shewmake off the Major League roster and onto the roster of Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Hamel and Shewmake have been invited to 2026 Major League spring training as non-roster invitees.

Tyson (6’8”, 215) has appeared in 21 games (two starts) for Denver this season, averaging 2.2 points and 1.7 rebounds in 7.7 minutes per game. In 90 career games (four starts) across two-and-a-half seasons (2023-26) for the Nuggets, he holds career averages of 2.2 points and 1.4 rebounds in 6.8 minutes per contest. Tyson was selected by Oklahoma City with the 37th overall pick in the second round of the 2023 NBA Draft and traded to Denver after spending five seasons (2018-23) at Clemson, where he was named to the 2022-23 All-ACC First Team.

Martin originally signed with the Nets on Sept. 20, 2024, before having his contract converted to a two-way contract on Oct. 19, 2024, and later signed a multi-year deal with the team on Feb. 20, 2025. In 97 games (17 starts) for the Nets across the past season-and-a-half, he averaged 8.2 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 20.7 minutes per game. He recorded averages of 7.3 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 18.8 minutes per contest across 37 games (six starts) for Brooklyn this season.

The 23-year-old holds career averages of 3.2 points and 1.6 rebounds in 7.8 minutes per contest across 126 games (10 starts) with Minnesota and Boston over the past three-and-a-half seasons (2022-26). Minott was drafted by Charlotte with the 45th overall pick in the second round of the 2022 NBA Draft and traded to Minnesota on draft night. The Boca Raton, Fla., native spent his lone collegiate season (2021-22) at the University of Memphis, where he earned AAC All-Freshman Team honors after averaging 6.6 points and 3.8 rebounds in 14.6 minutes per game across 33 appearances (five starts) for the Tigers.

Drafted by Brooklyn with the 27th overall pick in the first round of the 2021 NBA Draft, Thomas played in 239 career games (88 starts) for Brooklyn across four-and-a-half seasons (2021-26) and holds career averages of 15.2 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 23.3 minutes per game on 43.5 percent shooting from the floor and 34.3 percent shooting from 3-point range. In 24 games (eight starts) for the Nets this season, he averaged 15.6 points, 1.8 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 24.3 minutes per contest.
