Jikai Wang
Ph.D. Candidate in Robotics & Computer Vision | Dexterous Manipulation | 3D Perception
My name is Jikai Wang (Wahng Jee-kai, 王继凯). I am a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science at the University of Texas at Dallas, working in the Intelligent Robotics and Vision Lab under the guidance of Prof. Yu Xiang and co-advised by Prof. Xiaohu Guo.
My research focuses on robotic manipulation and perception, with an emphasis on 3D reconstruction, 6D pose estimation, and hand-object interaction for dexterous manipulation. I develop robust, scalable, and deployable systems that bridge perception and real-world robotic applications.
Prior to my Ph.D., I worked as a Senior Engineer at Ericsson (China), contributing to 4G/LTE core network design, system integration, and large-scale deployment.
I hold an M.S. in Computer Science from UT Dallas and a B.S. in Communications Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT).
Interests: Robotics • Computer Vision • AI • Embodied Intelligence
