Thursday is my big mow day so it was late when I went riding. The weather was nice without much wind so it was great riding. Between my back hurting bad and needing to get home to prepare dinner, I only rode 22 miles. After dinner, what little wind that was blowing earlier had quit. It was just too nice to sit in the house so I geared up and went riding again. I rode until it was nearly dark and called it a day. My back didn't bother me at all the second ride. I logged 28 miles of pure fun my second time out.

Brain Fart of the Day

I had trouble with my earbuds while mowing today. They disconnected from my phone two or three times while I was mowing my first lawn. It finally dawned on me that I had forgotten to turn off my truck. When I got near the truck my phone connected to my running truck which broke the connection to my buds. Obviously, I don't wear my hearing aids while mowing. I have to remember to turn the truck off because I can't hear if it's running without my aids.

Random Thought Thread

I constructed things of wood most all of my life. I will admit that I was very ready to retire after over 55 years of making things. Now, like some bad dream, I build things in my sleep. Most every night I make something. Last night I woke up after building a make-up vanity with a light bridge between two storage cabinets with a set of tri fold mirrors between vanity top and light bridge. Dreams are weird

The "I'm so old" thread game

I'm so old that I came up behind a couple of kids holding hands. They were walk in front of the lawn I was going to mow next so I waited on them to get past the property so I could park. I sat in the truck thinking those kids must be jipping school. Just before they were out of my way, he turned to her and handed off an infant to the woman. They were children with child... my bad. :)

How do I prevent Gemini from speaking aloud when I ask it a verbal question?

But I don't want to have to type it in. I want to ask it a question, which I do in a very quiet voice up to the microphone even in public and it reads that just fine. I don't then want it to start reading/squawking out the response in the loud intrusive way it does, making me have to poke at buttons to shut it up. I just can't find a simple option to stop it speaking at all.
turn down the volume.
