Inspiration
I like biking and want to commute more with my bicycle. When using google maps it shows me the shortest route but not the easiest. I always have to bypass the inclined slope or a dangerous highway sideroad. So I want to improve bicycle commuting experience to make bicycle an easier transportation for everyone. My inspiration comes also from the GPS navigation app Waze and the offline GPS map Avenza Maps.
What it does
Biku will be an offline navigation app. It will download city's bike lane map as Avenza Maps. It only provide voice prompt when user is moving, and the screen will be displayble only if the user is motionless. Based on user's preference on riding difficulty: their tolenrance to very inclined hill, the weather, crowded route and highway sideroad, Biku will provide the optimized itinerary from A to B mostly with bike lane. User can also report construction or major damage on the ground as in Waze after the trip .
How we built it
I plan to use Android Studio.
