Inspiration The inspiration for Kaboom + Eth.id came from the growing popularity of NFTs and the gaming industry's interest in blockchain technology. We wanted to create an engaging and fun game that has the potential to incorporate the Ethereum ecosystem and NFTs in the future, making it an enjoyable experience for gamers and crypto enthusiasts alike.

What it does Kaboom + Eth.id is a simple yet addictive 2D platformer game that runs on Eth.id in an iframe. Currently, the game allows players to navigate through obstacles, with the potential for NFT integration in the future. This future integration would allow users to sign in using their Ethereum wallets, display their NFTs, and reward them with in-game bonuses or collectibles.

How we built it We built Kaboom + Eth.id using React for the frontend, the Kaboom game engine for the game logic, and Chakra UI for the user interface components. We designed the game to run seamlessly within an iframe on Eth.id.

Challenges we ran into One of the challenges we faced was incorporating Ethereum features and NFT functionality into the game. Due to time constraints, we were unable to integrate these features in the current version of the game.

Accomplishments that we're proud of We are proud of developing a fun and engaging 2D platformer game that runs smoothly on Eth.id in an iframe. Additionally, we have laid the groundwork for future NFT integration, opening up possibilities for more exciting gameplay and rewards for players.

What we learned Throughout the development process, we learned how to work with the Kaboom game engine and how to create a game that runs in an iframe. We also gained a deeper understanding of the potential for blockchain technology and NFTs in the gaming industry.

What's next for Kaboom + Eth.id The next step for Kaboom + Eth.id is to integrate Ethereum features and NFT functionality into the game. This will allow players to sign in with their wallets, display their NFT collections, and earn in-game rewards or collectibles tied to their Ethereum wallets. Ultimately, we aim to create an immersive gaming experience that combines the world of cryptocurrencies and NFTs with fun and engaging gameplay.
