Inspiration

The inspiration behind making this project was to save you from any further garden party fails because of bad weather.🧑‍🌾🌩️ = ☠️☠️☠️

What it does

It allows the user to search the weather of a particular city and plan a party and keep things organized with the help of a to-do list.

How we built it

We built it using HTML, CSS, Javascript and Bootstrap. We made use of OpenWeather Api to track the weather. Not gonna lie, this was difficult! CockroachDB 🗃️recorded weather information from user's search history. Linode Object Storage ☁️was used as a cloud solution to push the website online for access.

Challenges we ran into

The time constraint!⏲️☠

Although initially, we thought of making only the weather website but then decided to elevate the game by adding another feature i.e. the to-do list 📜, which made it fancy and difficult.

Project Completion!!!🥳

We thought it would end up being a mess but here we are...making the final submission. 👏👏👏

What we learned

A LOT!

Javascript decided to make this hacakthon a full rollercoaster but the ride had to end. We learned javascript, about APIs and hosting the app on heroku.

What's next for Plan Your Garden Party

Although we achieved what we wanted for this hackathon, but will definitely try to elevate the project in future by adding more features to it about which we haven't thought yet!😅
