Inspiration
We wanted to create a tool with which you could know if your plant(s) need treatments.
What it does
With the help of Machine Learning, this website will diagnose plants and redirect the user to the necessary ressources.
How we built it
We built it with angular.js components, material and services. The classifier with built in python and the model was compiled to be run in tensorflowjs.
Challenges we ran into
Adding the classifier to the app. Learning angular. Finding the data to train the classifier on.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Adding a Resnet classifier to the web app. Decentralised ML into the browser.
What we learned
Make web pages. Implementing AI in a functionning app.
What's next for SaveMyPlant
Deploy to the cloud Improve the classifier accuracy and support **more plant and diseases. Couple the the photo of the plant with metadata such as **geolocation of the taken photo to display a map of the farmer's field with position of the unhealthy crops to have targeted pesticide usage therfore limiting it's usage.
