How It Works
- Version Check: Fetches latest release from GitHub API
- Download: Downloads platform-specific archive with retry logic
- Verification: Validates SHA256 checksum
- Backup (optional): Creates
.bakfile of current binary - Installation: Atomically replaces the binary
Supported Platforms
- macOS: amd64, arm64
- Linux: 386, amd64, arm64, armv6, armv7, ppc64le, s390x
- FreeBSD: 386, amd64, arm64, armv6, armv7

Update Notifications
Dagu caches update check results for 24 hours. When automatic checks are enabled, an available update appears as a notification in the web UI.
Automatic checks are controlled by the main server config and are enabled by default:
check_updates: trueDisable them with check_updates: false or DAGU_CHECK_UPDATES=false.
This only affects automatic web UI notifications. Manual commands such as dagu upgrade and dagu upgrade --check still work.
