Home Server (Kubernetes + GitOps)

  • Architected and operated a 2-node homelab platform using Linux (NixOS) and Kubernetes (K3s), with MetalLB load balancing, applying DevOps practices around automation and observability.
  • Implemented a GitOps-driven CI/CD workflow with Flux to automate website deployments.
  • Deployed and managed self-hosted services (media, DNS, web hosting, game servers, and automations - n8n) for 5+ users.
  • Used Prometheus/Grafana with Flux Helm Releases, plus alerting and metrics dashboards.
  • Built a Go microservice to generate personal streak buttons/widgets, e.g. Duolingo and GitHub.
  • Managed a cloud-native stack with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) on serverless Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Cloud Run, behind a Cloudflare Content Delivery Network (CDN).
  • Used GitHub Actions CI to build Docker container images.
