Hi there 👋

I am Raphael Fontoura

I'm a Full Stack Developer with a strong focus on the Back-end 💻 — working with Java, Kotlin and the Spring ecosystem, building scalable and reliable systems.

I like to take problems, understand them and break them into small pieces — like legos.

Then I turn those pieces into well-structured solutions using microservices, clean architecture and distributed systems.

What I do:

  • Build scalable microservices (Java/Kotlin + Spring Boot)
  • Design systems with DDD, Clean Architecture and SOLID principles
  • Work with cloud-native environments (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS)
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and observability stacks
  • Integrate systems through APIs and messaging

A bit about my journey:

I have 20+ years in tech, starting from electronics and telecom, which gave me a strong foundation in networks, infrastructure and distributed systems thinking — something I bring into software every day.

How I see programming:

For me, it's about more than code — it's about understanding complexity and turning it into something simple, reliable and scalable.
