What changes are you trying to make? (e.g. Adding or removing code, refactoring existing code, adding reports)
Added answers to the SQL assignment 1 questions.
What did you learn from the changes you have made?
I learned how to draw an ERD showing a simple logic model with relationships between various tables. I learned how to use draw.io tool to design ERDs, how to format the designs to show the relationships correctly. I also learned about SCDs, different approaches for handling historical data (overwrite vs. retain) and their privacy implications.
Was there another approach you were thinking about making? If so, what approach(es) were you thinking of?
For the ERD, I kept the logical model fairly simple and may not necessarily reflect a use case in the real world. I would add more complex table structures in a real-world scenario.
Were there any challenges? If so, what issue(s) did you face? How did you overcome it?
It took some time to become familiar with draw.io and its functionalities. I also read up on different types of SCDs to understand data handling better.
How were these changes tested?
