What changes are you trying to make? (e.g. Adding or removing code, refactoring existing code, adding reports)
Added solution code for Part 1 and Part 2 of Assignment 1. Implemented the
anagram_checkerfunction with both case-sensitive and case-insensitive logic as per the instructions. What did you learn from the changes you have made?
Learned how to handle string comparisons using sorting, how to make functions case-insensitive using
.lower(), and how to test functions using multiple test cases. Was there another approach you were thinking about making? If so, what approach(es) were you thinking of?
Yes, initially considered using dictionaries to count character frequencies but decided to use
sorted()which is simpler and sufficient for the requirement. Were there any challenges? If so, what issue(s) did you face? How did you overcome it?
Faced an issue with function argument mismatch and indentation. Fixed it by double-checking the function signature and aligning code properly.
How were these changes tested?
Tested manually with several anagram and non-anagram word pairs for both case-sensitive and case-insensitive scenarios.
