All tests are green in my machine, except GDB tests (no src geodatabase available), and all the demo code looks ok.

Main issues experienced:

  • LOT of code needed to be changed, pretty sure there are breaking changes that can be mitigated
  • BruTile can not be updated to 5X, but "only" to 3X
  • DotSpatial code is now "broken": ProjNET basically does not expose interfaces anymore, and I was unable to reproduce the original behaviour, extending ProjNET base classes

Diego, I don't know if this is worth it. While WinForms is still available the new bright and shiny MAUI has just been released. A rewrite targeting that seems more appropriate to me.

Ok but I think that besides of UI stuff, all the core , the providers and the web part can be maintained. Or I am missing something and you suggesting a complete rewrite from scratch?
