PlantCo

An end-to-end Power BI Dashboard for visualizing PlantCo's transactional analysis with MySQL database integration featuring custom YoY metrics for tracking annual performance, 9 analytical measures, drill-down capabilities on plots for fine-grained analysis, and automated data refreshes through Microsoft Fabric.

Steps Performed

1) Importing transactional records from MySQL database into Power BI using connectors

2) Used Power Query to transform data and constructed a star schema architecture

3) Processed data and built custom measures

  • Wrote custom DAX queries for YoY (year-on-year) growth analysis
  • Built 9 measures for detailed analysis and dynamically changing titles

4) Data visualization:

  • Used switch measures for filters and wrote conditional formulas for red alerts
  • Implemented drill-down capabilities on plots for fine grained analysis
