run_cmdandrun_cmd_qatorun_shell_cmdwe should just drop support for versions < 9.5. There are no <=9.4 Geant4 easyconfigs in EB4.9 (not even archived ecs!) and the 9.5 easyconfigs are in 2016a toolchains - so will be archived in EB5.
