@wpoely86: looks fine, but can you mention for which easyconfig you need this exactly?

@boegel Well, h5py needed an argument. I can pass it throught installopts but then the whole build step is quite pointless.

I also think it's import to add this for consistency. I was surprised that this didn't work out of the box.
