This finishes the work done by @JensTimmerman in #236.
He agreed that I would open a new PR for this, which includes my commits on top of his work, since he won't be able to review a PR to his repo in the coming days.
A non-bare Perl easyconfig for
ictceis missing because it was not sufficiently tested yet, will be added later (post v1.4).
