For example:

$ eb -a | grep configopts
configopts                    Extra options passed to configure (default already has --prefix) [default: ""] {alternative: configure_opts}
preconfigopts                 Extra options pre-passed to configure. [default: ""] {alternative: pre_configure_opts}
