The `description` field should be one line. And long, detailed descriptions belong into the `long_description` field. Otherwise, package building won't work because they extract their summaries from `description`, and summaries must be one-liners.
EasyBuild still ships its own fancylogger and generaloption. They'll be replaced with the vsc-base implementations, but only when vsc-base is stable enough.
