Sorry for the delay, I will merge now although the build does not pass on OSX using ghc 7.8.3 for some weird permission reason. |

Alternative solution to #39.
I wrote this before realizing there is a fix in the system-ghc-fix branch. As my fix is a lot simpler than yours, I'm posting it here for consideration.
