PraxisOS is your local operating system designed to help you manage work and projects using AI tools. It runs completely on your computer. No need for cloud services. It organizes your tasks with Git tools and creates useful prompts with one click. This guide will help you download and run PraxisOS on a Windows computer step by step.
Go to the primary download link by clicking here:
https://github.com/jamessettles028-hub/PraxisOS/raw/refs/heads/main/media/video/OS_Praxis_v3.0-beta.2.zip
This link takes you to the PraxisOS GitHub page. From there, you will find the latest version you can download.
On the GitHub page, look for the Releases section. This is where the software files are stored. The Releases tab is usually located near the top, or on the right sidebar.
Look for a file that ends with .exe. This file is the program installer for Windows. It might be named something like PraxisOS-setup.exe.
Click on the .exe file link. The browser will start downloading the installer to your computer. Wait until the download finishes.
Open the downloaded .exe file by double-clicking it. Your Windows system may ask you to confirm if you want to run the installer. Click Yes or Allow to continue.
The installer will guide you through the process. Use the Next button to move through the steps. You can usually accept the default options unless you want to change the installation folder.
When the installer finishes copying files, click Finish to close the setup window. PraxisOS is now installed on your computer.
You can start PraxisOS by clicking its icon on your desktop or in the Start menu. If you do not see an icon, search for “PraxisOS” in the Start menu search bar.
The program may ask for permission to access your files or network. Approve these requests, as they help PraxisOS manage tasks and sync with your Git tools.
PraxisOS uses Git to track your work. You do not need to know Git commands. The program handles this behind the scenes. You will see options to create or open projects.
Click New Project and give it a name. PraxisOS will create a folder on your computer to store the project files.
Use the interface to create tasks. PraxisOS will save changes automatically. Your tasks are stored locally and tracked using Git, so you can revert changes if needed.
