Write less, think more.
I build things for developers. Started coding open-source projects in college, mass-produced side projects ever since, and somehow ended up co-founding SegmentFault — China's largest developer Q&A community.
🏛️ Now I'm the PMC Chair of Apache Answer, a Q&A platform that graduated to an Apache Top-Level Project in 2024.
✍️ I also created Typecho — a PHP blogging engine that's been alive for nearly 20 years and still going strong with 12k+ stars. It proves that software doesn't have to be bloated to be useful.
- Building communities — from SegmentFault's Q&A platform to organizing 50+ hackathons across China, Singapore, and Silicon Valley
- Making small, sharp tools — sfz (offline image watermark/mosaic tool, zero network requests), chatchain (cross-platform AI chat CLI, supports OpenAI/Anthropic/Gemini), NameBeta (domain search & price comparison, privacy-first)
- Infra tinkering — running a Mac mini as a soft router, self-hosting everything, messing with Kubernetes and SSL automation
