Adding Markdown and image files with solution for Homework 1. The Markdown file also includes the diagram using Mermaid code, which is supported by GitHub.
What changes are you trying to make? (e.g. Adding or removing code, refactoring existing code, adding reports)
Adding my solution to Homework 1, which includes a Markdown file and a PNG image file.
What did you learn from the changes you have made?
I've learned that Mermaid is supported by GitHub in Markdown files. That allows us to represent diagrams like ERDs and others using code instead of images.
Was there another approach you were thinking about making? If so, what approach(es) were you thinking of?
I've used both an image and Mermaid code to create the diagram.
Were there any challenges? If so, what issue(s) did you face? How did you overcome it?
Using Mermaid, one can easily create Conceptual and Physical models. A ticket to allow omitting the type of attributes, which is required to create Logical models, has been filed. As a workaround, I've just replaced the data types with "-" for now.
How were these changes tested?
Visual inspection.
