NBFC-Linux config for the Tongfang X6RP57TW chassis (AIstone rebrand), a 2025–2026 gaming laptop.

Hardware:

  • CPU: Intel Core i9-14900HX (32 threads)
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Laptop GPU (open kernel modules)
  • BIOS: Tested in dGPU-only mode

Key registers (reverse-engineered via live EC RAM dumps):

  • Fan duty read/write: 0x60 (96 decimal)
  • Primary temperature sensor: 0x30 (48 decimal, coretemp package average)

Features:

  • Fully temperature-based automatic control (no fixed speed)
  • Curve: quiet at idle (0–20% below 45°C), ramps aggressively to 100% at 90°C
  • Safe critical temperature: 95°C
  • Initial boot fan duty: 30% (quiet)

Tested on:

  • CachyOS (Arch-based)
  • Kernel: 6.19.8-1-cachyos
  • nbfc-linux version 0.4.0
  • Works with open NVIDIA modules and dGPU-only BIOS setting

EC register change evidence:
Fan duty (0x60) clearly scales with temperature and manual set commands:

  • Idle/light: ~0x00–0x43 → low %
  • Heavy load: ~0xC8 → high %
  • Forced 70–100%: consistent scaling to 0x57–0xC8 range

First public config for Tongfang/AIstone X6RP57TW chassis.
- Fan duty register: 0x60
- Main temperature register: 0x30
- Tested on CachyOS 6.19 with open NVIDIA modules and dGPU-only BIOS mode
- Works with the Mechrevo Jiaolong profile as base but tuned for this exact model
