👋 Hi, I’m Oktavian

👨‍💻 Profile

I’m a student software developer with strong hands-on experience in Linux-based development, systems programming, and automation. I focus on building practical tools and scripts that improve productivity, reliability, and day-to-day workflows.

I’m particularly interested in low-level software, cybersecurity concepts, and performance-oriented programming, and I’m actively expanding into financial and quantitative-style development (data analysis, modeling, and efficient computation).

I work primarily in Linux environments, using Arch Linux as my main operating system, and I also manage Linux servers, including a self-hosted homelab.

🚧 Currently Working On

  • 🧠 x64 Operating System Development
Building a custom OS using GRUB, focusing on low-level architecture, memory management, and system design.

  • 🛠️ Developer Tools & Automation
Creating Python and Bash tools to streamline workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and improve daily productivity.

  • 📊 Financial / Quantitative Programming (Learning Phase)
Exploring data analysis, modeling, and performance-focused computation using Python and DuckDB.

  • 🖥️ Homelab & Linux Infrastructure
Maintaining and improving a custom Linux-based homelab server for experimentation, services, and infrastructure learning.

🛠️ Core Skills

  • Python – automation, tooling, data analysis
  • C++ – systems and performance-critical code
  • Bash – scripting and system automation
  • DuckDB – analytical workloads and fast local data processing

Tools & Platforms

  • Linux (Arch Linux as main OS; server & desktop)
  • Git – version control and collaboration
  • Vim – primary editor
  • Custom homelab infrastructure

🔍 Technical Focus Areas

  • Systems & low-level programming (x64)
  • Linux system administration
  • Workflow automation and tooling
  • Cybersecurity & pentesting fundamentals
  • Financial / quantitative programming (actively learning)

📌 What I Bring

  • Strong Linux proficiency across development and server environments
  • Ability to design, automate, and maintain efficient workflows
  • Solid foundation in systems thinking and performance-aware code
  • Self-driven learner with real-world, project-based experience
