Del 17 al 27 de julio de 2023, el Instituto Milenio para la Investigación Fundacional en Datos (IMFD), el Centro Nacional de Inteligencia Artificial (CENIA), el Departamento de Ciencias de la Computación de la Universidad de Chile y el Instituto de Sociología de la Pontificia Católica La Universidad de Chile (ISUC) patrocinará el Instituto de Verano en Ciencias Sociales Computacionales, a realizarse en la Pontificia Universidad Católica, Campus San Joaquín. El Instituto de Verano tiene como objetivo reunir a estudiantes graduados, investigadores postdoctorales y profesores principiantes interesados en las ciencias sociales computacionales. El Instituto de Verano es tanto para científicos sociales como para científicos de datos (en un sentido amplio).
El evento fue organizado por cinco organizadores (Andrés Abeliuk, Hernán Sarmiento, Pedro Seguel, Pablo Beytía y Juan Reutter). Con cuatro instructores asistentes (Sebastían Ferrada, Jorge Ortiz, Gabriel Iturra y Cinthia Sánchez). Realizamos todas las sesiones de manera presencial con 20 participantes durante dos semanas.
Este repo también contiene la mayoría de las presentaciones realizadas por los ponentes con el debido reconocimiento.
Este repositorio y tutoriales esta documentado intencionalmente en castellano para facilitar su difusión en Chile e hispanoamerica.

From July 17 to July 27, 2023, the Millennium Institute for Foundational Research on Data (IMFD), the National Center For Artificial Intelligence (CENIA), the Computer Science Department of the University of Chile, and the Institute of Sociology of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile (ISUC) will sponsor the Summer Institute in Computational Social Science, to be held at the Pontificia Universidad Católica, Campus San Joaquín. The Summer Institute aims to bring together graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and beginning faculty interested in computational social science. The Summer Institute is for both social scientists and data scientists (broadly conceived).
The event was organized by five organizers (Andrés Abeliuk, Hernán Sarmiento, Pedro Seguel, Pablo Beytía, and Juan Reutter). With four Teaching Assistants (Sebastían Ferrada, Jorge Ortiz, Gabriel Iturra, and Cinthia Sánchez). We hold all sessions in-person with 20 participants for two weeks.
This repository and tutorials are intentionally documented in Spanish to facilitate its dissemination in Chile and Hispano Latin America.
